🇭🇷 Last week, we had the pleasure of joining colleagues from across the EMEA region for the Interlaw 2026 EMEA Regional Meeting, hosted by Law Firm Glinska & Mišković Ltd in beautiful Dubrovnik.

Set against medieval walls and the Adriatic Sea, the meeting brought together lawyers from across the network to share knowledge, build relationships, and reflect on the future of our profession.

The theme — Strategies for a Fast World — drew on the Croatian concept of Pomalo (”take it easy” or ”no stress”). In a profession that prizes speed, it was a welcome reminder that deliberate pacing and reflection can be just as powerful.

Keynote speaker Carl Honoré — author and journalist — challenged us to reconsider our relationship with pace and how slowing down can paradoxically enhance productivity, leadership, and collaboration.

Beyond the formal sessions, the meeting offered exceptional networking opportunities — from structured meetings and collaborative workshops to social events and team-building activities that brought out real creativity.

Events like this remind us that the value of a global legal network lies not only in cross-border referral relationships, but also in shared learning, honest conversations, and professional friendships built over time.
